Anyone managed to permanently disable Advanced Power Management in WD10JPVX?

ROYL models have a 32-bit checksum, whereas pre-ROYL drives with Marvell MCUs have an 8-bit checksum.

Type “chksum2 -32 mod02.bin”.

If you would like me to confirm or recalculate the checksum, then upload your UNDO.BIN file (with your edits).

As for where the APM byte is stored, I’m not sure I can help you. You could use NazYura’s tools to retrieve all the MODs, but what do you do then? Perhaps you could compare all the MODs before and after running WDIDLE3. This will hopefully enable you to locate where the “57” VSC command wrote its “millisecond” timer values. Perhaps the APM byte will be nearby???
