750GB Scorpio Blue Drive in USB Enclosure not Recognized

I just attached a new WD7500BPVT drive as an external USB drive to my Dell Vostro 1720 laptop. Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit. It formatted fine with the Windows Disk Management tool, but it’s not visible in Windows Explorer. Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows sees it and reports no errors (I only ran the quick test.) I’ve unplugged it and plugged it back in, no change. Another look at Windows Disk Management shows that the disk status is “online”.  Autoplay is turned on. I’m out of ideas at this point, everything I see says the disk is healthy and online, but Windows Explorer can’t see it. Anybody out there have a clue what I should do next?

By the way, the enclosure is a USB 3.0 enclosure but the cable is connected to a pair of USB 2.0 ports on the computer as I bought it just before USB 3.0 became available. One of the USB 2.0 ports is used to supply power only.

That was it, I didn’t even have a drive letter set. Problem solved, thank you!
