I’ve tripped over this issue before, where after changing something (firmware, external disk config, etc…) caused some of my .ISO files to not be displayed. In every case, I recovered the ‘lost’ files by performing a safe USB disk disconnect from the WDTV, do a full power down of the WDTV, connected the disk(s) to a PC and deleting every occurance of the .wdtv directories. Do a safe USB disconnect from the PC, reconnect to the WDTV and power up. The .wdtv directories will be rebuilt and correct a multitude of issues.
Nah the new firmware stuffs the media library when it rebuilds. WD have abandoned the product but it was still sold new in Australia.
Has this been fixed? I updated to the next firmware build about 3 months ago, and still had the same problem as before. Had to rollback to 2.01.86 again and rebuild “My Media Library”.
This has been a known issue since August 2014, now November 2015 and no fix.
Please fix. Thank you.
