Can i ask which theme these tool is aimed at? i just ran this against Alcatraz and pulled in episode images that are 400x225 so wide art… yet this doesn’t display well in the default theme or Delirous them… they come up squashed due to the images wanting to be portrait.
any tips on how to make it look proper… i ticked options per your suggestions.
only time the episode title is shown as 01 - Pilot is in the view with 7 tiles at the bottom… yet the image on the upper left is not the series art… i would like a more Season 1 boxset type art. is there any filename i can use for that?
This is the first time I have tried your software and am looking forward to getting it working.
Just wondering, what is the link between the video file and the XML? Is it just based on the filenames? I searched to see if there as anything in the WDTV that could be causing issue but can find nothing!
To eliminate network issues, I will drop some video on the internal drive and try from there.
Now I have to add some more info and a question. Not sure if you can do this but never hurts to ask.
Typically I store my media on the WD MyBookWorld NAS. It is connected directly to my router (Gb ethernet). This device has a built in media server (Twonkey I believe). This is what I normally select when accessing media from this device.
If I access through this method, the scraped info doesn’t show. When I add the share and select ‘Windows shares’ instead of ‘Media Server’ as COntent Source, the scraped info worls fine.
Can this info show up when using the Media Server instead of Network Share? I willl play a little more later to see what else I can see.
If you do not see that, then you do not have Microsoft’s .NET framework or Java installed correctly as per the prerequisites.
The Download webpage uses Java to determine if you have .NET framework installed. If Java thinks you do, then it passes that XML to the ClickOnce component of .NET to perform the installation.
You can try manually installing it using that URL above, but it may not work either if .NET isn’t installed or correctly registered to your computer…
hey ;D just boght myself a smp so first off i love this tool :smileyvery-happy: so thanks for it ;D. have read the entire thread and havent found a solution other then one person saying dvd order works but when i try to get it in dvd ore i get over a 100 episodes (firefly) )stargate season 1)( 4147) just to name some because they are listed as episode 1.1 the scraper list it as epside1- so i wont get the actual episode 1 before episode 11. its the same with firefly my actual episodes is episode 10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100,110,120,130,140 is there any way around this otherwise perfect piece of software ?
p,s is there a way to handle double episodes ? e.g Stargate.SG1-s01e01&e02.Children.of.the.Gods-part.1&2.mkv
Removed the “Lower Resolution of Fan Art” Option – The WDTV bug that prompted this requirement was corrected in Live Firmware 1.03.10 and Hub Firmware 2.08.13 (I think)

Apologies if this has been answered ad nauseum, I tried searching but came up with either old answers that I’m not sure are still doable or questions that haven’t been answered.
I have the latest firmware on my Hub and am using the latest version of the XML Fetcher program.
My issue is with the alpha-numeric sort of TV episode titles.
After running the Fetcher for a season, making sure all file names matched (mp4 / xml / jpg) and compiling the Hub (using My Media Library or whatever it’s called), the episodes are listed in alphabetical order by episode title, not by Season # / Episode #. I’ve tried different settings in the ‘Title Format’ box, but all this did was add a number in front of the title - the hub still read the text first, then changed the displayed text to show the number in front but did not change the order of the files.
I hope I’m making my issue clear here. Is this a known bug? Is it software (Fetcher) or hardware? What other information can I provide to lead someone to a thorough understanding of this issue?
The last time I used the software was a long time ago - everything worked fine then. The changes in software versions and firmware make it hard for me to figure this out…
The Hub / SMP will sort by TITLE unless you’re using the TV Show filter, in which case it will group by Season Number then sort by Episode Number.
If the Title Template includes the ^E (capital E) at the beginning of the template, it will sort correctly in every filter mode.
For example, I usually use the Title Template ‘^E- ^t’
Which yields titles such as
01- Pilot
02- The Breakaway
… etc.

Since the titles are sorted based on what is in the Media Library database (not what’s in the XML file in real-time), If you’ve already compiled your media library and then you change the XML, you must clear the media library in order for the changes to be re-imported into the media library.
