To capture images:
Setup > Operation > Remote Settings select a button (I use the blue button) and scroll down and select Capture Snapshot. Then just press the button you selected to capture the image.
On the Hub the snapshots are stored in the root directory of the Hub. I have no idea about the SMP.

The theme looks great as is and i have been a user for some time now i just like seeing the background pic and with the reflection at the bottom of the icons it looks a little off… thank you in advance

Yes it is possible to move the main home icons through the rv_home.xml. I have added a download link to one that I have done for you to try out. If the icons are too high for you could easily alter the height yourself by opening rv_home.xml and changing the ‘y=’ values. Or if you have any problems just post another message and I will try to help you out.

The background image with the black bar on the home screen is part of the firmware and not the theme. The only thing I could do with it was to increase the size of the image. I could not remove the black area of the image without slowing down the navigation speed. I have added two extra home screens if you want to try them out.

I have altered the SteArm 5 (LEYCERO) theme to show ‘Main Folder Thumbnails’ that JoeySmyth did in the following link ( http://community.wd.com/t5/WD-TV-Live-Hub-Themes/Main-Folder-Thumbnail/td-p/538325). The only problem is that it does not work in the gallery view. Which is the screenshot you posted.
All you have to do is to rename the thumbnails to the same as the device that you want to use but with no file extension. For example in your picture you have Pirate’s of the Caribbean. Rename it to WDTVLiveHub and make sure to delete the .jpg. I have included a WDTVLiveHub file so you can see what I mean.
And the SMP is the WDTV Live Streaming Media Player which is more or less the Hub without the hard drive.

4- Upload the covers to make room for point 8.
5- Director. Colour gray
6- Actor. Colour gray
7- Genre. Colour gray
8- 5 or 6 lines of paragraph, justified (align text left and right)
9- That main picture is bigger, as in stearm 6.2, but is in the center, when you change film (do not know if I’ve explained)
B) Remove images of the movie backdrops are being displayed in the background in the gallery view.
C) Remove the following 3 views

A) I have altered the gallery view like you asked. Just two points, the first is that the year it has to be for some reason month/day/year and not just the year and the second is that the overview text or the plot cannot have the text justified, it can be only align left, center or align right.
B) I have added a black background (RV-BG.jpg) to all the video views/xmls including the gallery view so hopefully you will not see the movie backdrops any-more and any snapshots won’t have any distorted areas.
C) Unfortunately the three video views are part of the firmware and cannot be removed. I have increased the thumbnail size in each of the views to make them look better.
D) Done.
It is very unlikely that I will be doing any updates or new themes for the near future. When I created the themes I was unemployed and I had plenty of time on my hands, but I started a new job a few weeks ago and I don’t have any time to create any new themes anymore.
Anything else or if you have any problems with the theme just post a message.

- In this picture the X16 multiplier may look good,
but this other image X32 multiplier can not look good, does not have enough space?
- Darken more the mirror effect of these two views
if you can not darken, then remove the mirror effect.

I have increased the width of the text=“@@speed_value” in the video_run.xml and dvd_navigation.xml and the X32 is now displayed.

I have darken the mirror effect by almost three times and now the mirrored thumbnails are reflected just pasted the movie title.

Number 2 and 3 cannot be swapped. The gallery view (3) is the only view that can display the movie information and can only display the highlighted movie title. And the list view (2) with the firmwares released this year can only display the highlighted thumbnail.
Again anything else or if you have any problems with the theme just post a message.

Number 1 and 2 cannot be swapped. The list view (2) can only display the highlighted thumbnail and another thing about the list view and that is it shared between the videos, music and photos.

How hard would it be to put some spacing in between the movie images on this one:
Not a lot of space - but enough for a border and such? Maybe a transparent border to display the background image?

I have put a 13 pixel gap between each of the thumbnails and now they are spread out evenly across the screen. There is still a delay of 2-3 seconds between moving from the second and third rows. I tried putting a border around the non-highlighted thumbnails but the delay increases to 7 seconds.
I have also added the services to the home screen.

Blumming 'eck, I thought you wanted Services. Don’t worry I won’t kill you but I have killed the Services instead.
I’m sorry I couldn’t get rid of the delay. The only way I’ve found to remove the delay is to either make it 7x3 or to the remove the title and movie number at the bottom. I will have another mess about with it tomorrow to see what I can do.
Oh and is the gap between the thumbnails alright.
