No, you paste the link (don’t tap it) into VLC.

OR – you can tap the link, which will download the file (in the mail reader app) and then once downloaded, you’ll be prompted automatically with an “Open With” dialogue.

Yeah I pasted the link into VLC under open stream and zip happend except eventually I will get an error from the VLC app stating it cant open (or find - dont remember which). The app opens videos fine from local network but would like to get it to open remotely.
