Sooo… I just bought some 2TB Red’s and they were v3. Now I have what I assume is v1 as there’s no 2 listed anywhere and I did buy it a while ago to replace a 1.5TB that died. Now that the rest of my 1.5TB’s died, I decided to buy 2TB and Newegg recently had coupons for them so I bought it from there. I didn’t even bother checking NASware versions figured I’d be able to just update anyways. Very bad assumption apparently so my fault on that. That being said. Using my original 2TB Red NASware v1 (again, an assumption since it doesn’t say v1 OR v2 anywhere) with my new NASware v3 drives, there shouldn’t be any problem right? Using them in an EX4.

You are correct, if there is no number listed next to the NASware then they are v1. There shouldn’t be any problems mixing any of the NASware versions, they are all compatible with each other.
