Driver Error Message: WD SES Device USB Device

Fixed it on my laptop, turns out my PC didn’t want to read USB devices when i upgraded to xp3.

Thank you very much Sonic999!:smileyvery-happy:  Just like many other users here all I wanted was just the driver and not some 400+ mb download of extra junk.  I can’t believe there isn’t just a simple download link for drivers only on the WD site or if it is here they do a good job of hiding it.  I don’t want to have to download a whole package of junk that I already removed from the WD drive just to get a simple driver.   Thanks again Sonic999 and I can’t believe it took so many posts to get just the drivers.

In the software supplied on the passport drive you will find the drver in the Smartware folder. Use either WD SES Driver Setup (x64).msi or WD SES Driver Setup (x86).msi depending on if you are running Windows in 64 bit or 32 bit (x86).

You can also download the driver from Windows Update.  Closing this thread for age.
